How did I start doing SEO?

Hello all! This is my first blog post and I hope you will be kind to me. I’m a beginner in the field of SEO and my whole life has been thrown from side to side, trying different specialties. I was probably always in the “inspection” and actually I was getting ready for a search engine meeting Why did I choose SEO? Because SEO will be relevant as long as the Internet is used as a source of information. In addition, I feel that the “recognition” period is over and I would like to become a specialist in this area. I know from my own experience how difficult it is to be a beginner in SEO and how many problems you can meet on the road, so I want to share with you a bit of my debut experience. So it would be good: Study what SEO means Understand how search engines work: Google, Bing, Yandex, etc. Manage with so many sources of information: for the collection, classification and application of “SEO Truths”

So I would like to tell you some basic ideas that helped me understand what emails are doing for search engines. I hope you catch it well.

Myths about SEO Initially, I wanted to understand what the optimization process of a site is, how to increase the PageRank of a page, how to index it (I showed my rich vocabulary: P) and many other things in the field. I have read quite a few online textbooks, blog articles, I have listened to various webinars on this topic to better understand the SEO process. The more I studied, the more questions I had. You want to find out one thing, but he does another thing and another question and so to infinity. At that moment, I decided to ask for the help of all-knowing programmers. And … my eyes opened – they are not really all-knowing :-). In addition, my husband (who, by the way, is also a programmer) told me: “we do not know everything, and if we study or do not know something – we use Google.” That was a shocking truth for me! Then my thoughts got tangled up! However, this did not stop me and I decided to study further. And now, I can certainly highlight a few things – SEO myths that still hurt many people:

An SEO specialist – is a programmer – is not true, you do not have to be a programmer. It is important to have the necessary skills: to speak English, to get a good understanding of IT, to know the basic concepts of marketing, etc. But you’d better be a little psychologist, put yourself in the shoes of users, understand his needs; Developers know everything about SEO – away from the truth. Few developers have heard about SEO, and some who have heard – have a wrong image of promoting websites; By resorting to SEO services, you can position the site in the top just in a few days – maybe in the black hat SEO era this was possible, but now, in 2016, it will be difficult to cheat and avoid search engine algorithms, such as Google Penguin, Google Panda or others; link purchasing, the intense use of keywords in anchor and many other tricks will be questioned and trigger an audit, possibly a penalty. We can talk about it indefinitely (I do not want to teach you “black hat” SEO :-)) – but I tell you one thing – do not trust people who promise you that your site will be immediately in the top. In the long run, the top positions on search results pages on Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. only sites that provide value will be occupied;

The most effective way to optimize SEO is to use social networks – social networks do not mean SEO, they refer to a special domain called SMM (Social Media Marketing). And if social networks are needed to promote dynamic sites (those that add content of interest everyday) then SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the search engine optimization, meaning SEO is for everyone and for any site, whether static or dynamic; The meta keywords tag is the most important tool in the optimization process – please be nice, forget about it! Now using meta keywords not only does not positively influence the site, it can, on the contrary, have a negative effect on promotion; Content can also be taken over, it is important that this content exists – it is very important to have unique content, useful information, and not just copy-paste. Content is one of the most important aspects in the site quality evaluation process. And if it is tailored and available to all users and devices, then it becomes the basis of a quality site, and such a site is the goal of any SEO professional, be it beginner or professional; It’s enough to know just a few SEO optimization techniques – this can be seen from different perspectives. If you practically do not have competition and you are satisfied with the level you have attained – then it is very good and we congratulate you. But if the competition is quite high, because there are many SEO experts (among which you can be), knowing a few optimization techniques is not enough. One thing I know for sure – perfection has no limits, and the fact that SEO has to be targeted to increase the quality of the site but not the search engines – will never change.
